Help for Start up audio/video church ministry

Hello Folks,

I am Kwame. I need help in how to develop a new audio/video department for church/evangelistic work. I will appreciate some help with organizational structure, development of training curriculum, selection of equipment - with advantages and disadvantages, examples/samples of works that could help us get started pretty fast and any helpful hints.

There is not much going on around here (Accra, Ghana) in terms of technology for evangelism etc. What ever I develop could have a major impact in my community.

I must admit this is my first go at a project like this so I might not be able to talk the professional language. However, I believe somebody has started something close to what I described earlier. I will appreciate a list of things to get, lookout for and equipment options (like low-end, mid, high end). I am a bit limited in the number of people I can talk to on the ground here.

What does affordable mean to you. What type of video equipment have you been looking at and thinking about. Example, new professional video cameras, older video cameras?

Thanks Travis for your response. I have been tasked to look into how best we (Church) can setup an audio/video center for the following purpose: Ministry to schools and prisons with film shows; develop local content short (5-20mins) films for effective local evangelism; develop audio teaching in local dialect; build up capacity through these activities in order to replicate the unit for others to benefit.

The help I need:
I guess someone has gone through this start up process and will appreciate any help in setting up.
I will need help in recommendations for Value for money (affordable) video & Audio creating equipment
I will need any leads to institutions that can offer attachment programs for training purposes.
