Thank you for your comments, Thomas. Always encouraging to hear from folks. We are in production on five episodes of Theo, with more to come. Appreciate your prayers. God's best, Mike
Yes Mike, I did check out your Theo Cartoons site. I even bookmarked it and saved it as a favorite.
While studying 'Disney'esque 2D animation I learned all about stretch and squash, animating on 2's, accenting, lip syncing, all of the stuff that ...
Hi Thomas,
The name Jim Keeshan doesn't ring a bell. I was at Filmation Studios in the late 70s, so our paths just didn't cross. Honestly, I've never thought of teaching an animation class of any kind. Might do some day, once I've got something to...

I still have a ream of 12-field paper and my pegs sitting here next to my desk. Sometimes I wonder about pulling it all out again and doing some key poses or beat boards.
Eventhough these days I am primarily a Flash animator and digital artist, I just wanted you to know that I still have a soft spot in my heart for the hand-drawn frame-by-frame art form of animation. I am 42, so during the 70's I grew up on ABC's "School House Rock".
God bless and I am thrilled that you have made a niche for your own genre of Christian gospel-message based storytelling. I know that is a great God-honoring blessing that He has given to you.
Hi Mike, I am new to the Visual Story Network membership. I found your profile page and bio. I am a former student of Santa Monica College's Academy of Entertainment Technology and I was wondering if you are familiar with a veteran animator named Jim Keeshan? He is a current 2D animation instructor and storytelling instructor at the school. I took several of his classes. I believe that during the 70's he was involved with Hanna Barbera?
Anyway, as a new motion graphics animator in the Los Angeles area, I was impressed by your bio. If you ever gave seminars or classes, I would definately sign up! -- Thomas
Thanks Mike! I will definitely check it out and see if I can connect you with someone.
Awesome resume, by the way. It might be weird to say this, but I grew up on some of your work! hahaha. What a sobering reminder that I am still a baby in this business. :)
