Thanks this is very useful. I will experiment with Mad Mimi and Mail Chimp then recommend it to others that are ready for that next step. I have registered for both and they are much simpler than all the bigger email services to get started.

Let this ebook do the heavy lifting. It offers biblical answers to the many hurts people have as well as a strong gospel presentation. I encountered this when taking training to respond to inbound calls from Billy Graham who is still on cable TV wee…

The mobile devices are BOTH audio and video delivery systems. Salvation comes by faith and faith by HEARING the Word. Reading is a way to get to internal hearing and visual can reinforce hearing. In our literate society we too often neglect that th…

Projects Worked On
I have worked at the Help Desk of the student computer lab of a large conservative seminary in Dallas Texas USA. God has put into my heart a great compassion for the next generation of Christian leaders.

I know dozens of seminary students and graduates. Even though I am a considered a digital immigrant at 55 years old I resonate best with those in their 20s. They immediately appreciate the need to harness the online opportunities.

I have been working for many years to find ways for seminary students and graduates to learn how to minister online. I have dozens of blogs and many websites. They are linked from a hub with my initials JSO www.JSOhub.org
Roles / Skill Sets
I am in the process of putting together the visual aids for face-to-face fund raising presentations. That is my first milestone. The next milestone is to get into the habit of meeting with two prospective donors per week and present to two groups per month.

Milestone three is to raise the 40 thousand dollars needed for the seed capital. Ten thousand each goes to Consultants & Coaches, Web Development, Hardware & Software and Initial Payroll.

Milestone four is the building of version 1.0 of the Web Platform. From that base will flow Five Services 1) Networking Hub, 2) Information Clearinghouse (wikis), 3) Educational Nucleus, 4) Think Tank and 5) Research & Development Lab. And this is supported by Five Income Streams 1) Donations, 2) Retail Sales, 3) Affiliate Commissions, 4) Memberships and 5) Advertisements.

There are more milestones.

Learn and Use Emotions in Your Videos

Humans are emotional beings.

What makes movies appealing is that they appeal to the emotions.
A great script uses plot twists and character development to engage the viewers.
You need to understand feelings at all phases including
script writing
casting
rehearsing
shooting
editing
promoting

Emotions or feelings can point toward the truth of the Bible and the gospel message.

Every day every person experiences emotions.

These emotions occur internally with possible external expressions.

Seven Monday Requests for December 14, 2009

Three Requests for Me

Four Requests for the Ministry
1. May God help me in using a new online tool for balancing the short term daily tasks with the long term stra… Continue

CHALLENGE – Make a Video Showing Our Global Village and Technology

You can become used by God to open the eyes of many people.
Your video can wake people up to the facts about the world.
This can spark people to do the following.
-- Become more thankful to God for what they have
-- Pray for missions better
-- Appreciate differences
-- Give more to mission
-- Get involved in community outreach.

A few times a year I get an email forwarded to me about the global village.
Surely you to too.
Each one is different.
Some are just text.
Some have photos or graphics
