My Last Day animatic
We've been pushing hard to get a 90 second demo done from 'My Last Day on Earth' (hence called MLD), a script by Barry Cook. MLD will be our pilot film for this concept of retelling the story of Jesus using anime. The final animatic (story reel) will be under 10 minutes, but we had some opportunities pop up for March such that it became clear an early demo would be a REALLY good thing. Hey all - I've been delaying this for a while but now is the time to get in on the network. Does that make this a New Years Resolution? Wow, the network has grown!
Let me introduce myself. I've served with the JESUS Film Project for the last 23 years. I started with work on translations of the JESUS film with magentic tape machines back in the 1986. I wonder if at least some of the animation for your project isn't actually being done in China -- it is very common in Japan to sub-contract a lot of the work in Chinese studios.
Here is the initial 2D trailer we did, it was a test. We are now working on version #2 which is in 3D. We are also working on a 10 min 3D pilot.
