Introduction: I just joined the Group and Visual Story Network. My husband and I attend Coast Hills Church in Aliso Viejo, CA.

I am an e-learning instructional designer and developer, and I look forward to meeting you all.

Graham,
Thanks for the recognition! I enjoyed my time in Media Village. It was an awesome experience learning from you and other professionals. We are now working on our Media School. Trying to remember everything I learned from there to use here. I'm using the resources we have here in VSN too. Find it very helpful! Thanks!

Here's another group that I forgot to mention on the last call that would be of some value towards developing materials for mentors and mentees: http://trailblazinministries.com/welcome-to-the-steps-discipleship-training-ministry

Media Village has just graduated 22 students from the School of Video Production. One of the Visual Story Network's member Leinie Alambro won the award for the top videographer.
We now have 18 students doing the School of Story Telling and Digital Photography.

I too enjoyed the call; should be a great process to engage in mentoring with a slew of others within visual stories.

Graham,
Thanks for the communication/question.
My background - Bub Kuns and I started The Veracity Project about 6 years ago to Train Filmmakers, Produce Content, and Place talented individuals in schools, jobs, and internships. From the training aspect, I've been mostly involved with beginner filmmakers - teaching a biblical foundation for storytelling. We call what we do a "springboard" to launch students into their "filmmaking journey" with the RIGHT bedrock and focus. After that initial teaching we do 1 on 1 discipleship "story training" with hand selected individuals - where we walk with them, creating project after project, giving them the practice and guidance (in the Lord) they need.

My interests are the same as my background really. From the production aspect, Bub Kuns and I work together, striving to create compelling content. We've been writing, producing and directing together for the same amount of time. We love it! and feel called to it! and would love to be blessed to continue down this path as long as the Lord says to!!!

Thanks for asking. Talk to you soon.

Charlie

Sounds like things went great in Dallas. Sorry I could not make it. Keep the good work up.

I want to welcome Don and anyone else to the events we have coming and see the process of getting the word out in the public venues this fall.
Your welcome to stay at my house here in Cocoa Florida. We be doing events from Nov. through Dec. 31. See the schedule at Life Visual.com

It's exciting to be part of this group and I hope to contribute my experiences in building on the projects the lay ahead.

I am all about connecting the church and film talent with the outside world from our experiences we have had.

I will be in North Carolina doing some presentations and taking a little break also in the coming weeks. No Internet in those mountains is what I have been told. So I will talk to you in a couple of weeks.
