Christian 3D artist seeks Christian screenwriter

This is something that has been on my heart for a long time. Not quite sure how to move forward with it since it sort of falls outside of my own gifts/talents. About me--age 42 Christian graphics guy/animator seeking very similar Christian researcher/writer or screenwriter for brainstorming on a "thing" that I have been kicking around in my head for a while.

Do the math--based on my age, guess what year I graduated high school. Anyway, I am hoping to perhaps find a fellow Christian media professional here in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area who would be interested in partnering with me on a very unique niche idea for a possible future project. I'm not a "writer" (although I have dabbled in a few short stories during college). To be frank, I'd like to find someone in my peer group regarding maturity and age. It has to do with this niche I am wanting to explore (very Christian in nature).

Thanks for replying everyone and for showing interest. Because of the nature of my project, I need to find someone local to Los Angeles who could go offline with me in order to develop it. I'm still looking.

I think that a good writer could be found here in LA, (I know several and have done some writing myself) but the real question would be funding it. It would be considered development, and some writers might consider the project if they weren't doing a lot of speculative work over several months. Have you created a business plan so an investor might be able to know how you intend to develop it? I think the questions they'd want to ask is; is there a distributor or a studio interested in the concept? Is this for TV, home video or a theatrical release? Streaming internet? PPV? What's the proposed budget? (that allows some sense of scope to the project, i.e. a Pixar type of film or something a lot less expensive). As far as being "Christian in nature," does that mean it has Christian values, Bible stories, or is quoting scripture? Do you have any voice talent (star power) in mind that might make the film more marketable? Those are the things that I think would need to be answered first.

I'm curious as to why you feel the person needs to be local. I've done numerous projects world wide that all started over the phone and internet.
